RE: Concrete Driveways

The compaction under it matters more than the thickness of the concrete. If the base is good 4" should not be a problem. Most of the time the wire mesh ends up next to the ground from the workers stepping on it. You are better off with a #3 bar in a 4" slab, #4 would be close on the concrete cover and could cause more cracking. Mine is 3500 psi concrete, 4" thick with no rebar, and no cracking. Enjoy your new driveway.

RE: Bouncing toy hauler

windchaser: 1. What is your tow vehicle? 2. Are you using a weight distribution hitch? 3. Does the trailer have shocks? They may have removed them when they raised it. You really need to get it level. If it keeps up look into air bags or timbrens. Good Luck.

RE: Heartland Toyhaulers

I have been more than happy with the Cyclone. To speak for Heartland, the landing gear had problems 2 weeks out of warranty, they replaced it no questions asked. Good luck in your search.

RE: Jacob's Lake AZ

The north rim is a great place, plenty of places to ride. I'll be there the end of Sept. A lot of wildlife to take in. If you have never seen the view from the north rim you are missing out.

RE: Cyclone 3210 vs. Fuzion 302

A couple of things about the Cyclone, with the shower on the same side as the bed you have more room to get in the bed and make it. The loft is also handy to store things such as coats and hats. I am very happy with my Cyclone, the only thing that I do not like is not striker on the stove.

RE: ATV Operation in Arizona

My insurance is through Progressive and billed to my Nevada address. For two ATV's and a Ranger it is around $ 160 a year for liability.

RE: Here is who Supports the Sierra Club

Amen, K2Rider, We won't mention JJ's illegitimate child or the recent 1.5 mil that AS owes in taxes because the government is trying to put him down. I am an outdoorsman. The fees I pay to hunt and fish do more for the wildlife and public lands than the money the Sierra Club spends on their lawyers to keep us from it. God bless America, I only hope that I can still get out and enjoy it in the next 10 years. One more thing, I noticed all of the "D's" myself. Sorry for the "political post".

RE: Cyclone Toy Hauler

I choose the Cyclone mainly for the floorplan. I do like the cabinetry, fit & finish and the other amenities that it has. I was looking for a shorter 5th wheel and it was between the 3210 and the Raptor 299. The Cyclone seemed better built with better products. I have also had very good service from my dealer and Heartland with warranty issues. Your best bet is to find a floorplan and dealer that you like.

RE: Johnnie Walker RV Recommendation - Las Vegas

I'm on my third TH from them. I have had a few problems but, they have always handled every thing to my satisfaction. Congratulations on the new hauler.

RE: Stabiliizers

I have the Bal Lock-Arms, they work great as well. I ordered them off e-bay, cheaper than the eliminator system and I could only use 4 of them. I only wish I had thought of them.

RE: Toy Hauler Tires

While I agree that the XPS Rib is an excellent tire, I went with the Maxxis "E" rated tire. They are rated to carry more than the axles so the way I look at it I would rather have the tire fail than the axle/spring. I tried to apply a little common sense to my decision. Good luck!!!

RE: Water

The Petro right at the speedway is easier to get into than the FJ. They also have a dump station with water, it is just past the 215 exit about 2 miles from the Apex exit.

RE: kingpin tripods

The best thing I have done for movement is the Bal Lock-Arms. I have the bi-pod for the front it helps when it is tight tight, nothing like the lock-arms though.

RE: Heartland Cyclone

I've had mine for just over a year now. The landing gear rods and gears just stripped out, three weeks out of warranty. Heartland stepped up and they are sending a complete set of landing gear (less motor and switch) free of charge. No buyers remorse here.

RE: onan gen

My onan has a drain hose that runs through the bottom of the generator compartment to drain the oil out. The filter comes through the bottom as well. If it is the first change the filter is usually pretty tight. Takes me about 20min start to finish including rounding up the tools.

RE: Inverter Capacity

I just installed a Xantrex Pro 1800, it is nice because it has a remote that can be placed inside the coach, a built in transfer switch and can be hardwired into the RV system. I also installed two 15 watt solar panels and controller. I ran my tv and satellite for 5 hours after I finished the install(and had power for more) with 2 12 volt batteries. I ordered the inverter from ASE Supply and the panels and controller from Northern Tool. I'm looking forward to watching the morning news without the gen running.

RE: What's up with the CrossTerrain? Can't find one!!

Have you tried Motor Sportsland in Salt Lake? My brother and a couple friends have bought from them. I think it is www.motorsportsland.com Good luck in your search.

I've been more than happy with my Cyclone and the customer support and service from Heartland.
